*Though there has been recent volcanic activity in Cotopaxi National Park, this tour is now open and running. The volcano is currently active, but the National Park Service has declared it safe for specific access in the park. Besides enjoying the highest active volcano at 5,897 meters (19,347 feet) you will also expierence the Limpiopungo Lagoon and learn why Cotopaxi means Moon’s Throne. Inside the National Park you can hike from Rinconada or the camping zone to the Limpiopungo lake. Hike around the National Park, learn about the surroundings and the volcano and enjoy the view.
